Starfield Hanam — original (2016). Subway awkward (Misa Station Line 5 + shuttle). Suwon supersedes it. Starfield Goyang — Samsong Station (Line 3). Good if heading NW. Starfield Anseong — far south, skip.

Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science (대전신세계 Art & Science)

• District: Yongsan-dong, Yuseong-gu (near the expo/science zone)
• Signature: Opened August 2021 as Shinsegae's 13th store and flagship. 3rd largest in the chain after Centum City and Daegu. Built around a fused art + science concept — a department store with a science museum, aquarium, and observatory under one roof. Total floor area ~284,000 m². The attached Expo Tower is 193m tall.
• Art Space 193 — 193m-high observatory with Olafur Eliasson's The Living Observatory (colored glass shifting with sunlight)

Eunhaeng-dong + Sky Road (은행동 / 으능정이)

• Not a mall, but Daejeon's "Myeongdong" — pedestrian shopping street roofed by Sky Road, a giant LED canopy overhead that plays short films/ads (worth seeing at night)
• Legendary Sungsimdang bakery here (fried soboro bread, myeongnan baguette)

Gyeongju is a mall desert by design — the whole city is a UNESCO historic park. Retail lives in markets and alleys.

Hwangnidan-gil (황리단길)
